Hats Down for 14 Best Outfits of 2014

Lets talk fashon all the way. When the fashion was good this year, it was really, really good.
There were beautiful lace dresses, edgy crop tops and feathered skirts that literally took our breath away. A few stars (ahem Solange KnowlesLupita Nyong'o and Amal Alamuddin) consistently hit it out of the park, while other celebs surprised us with their fashion prowess.
To help summarize all the best style moments from the past 12 months, we've rounded up the 14 most amazing outfits of 2014. Enjoy the sartorial goodness and let's hope these A-listers continue to kill it in 2015!
  • 1
Olivia Wilde in Gucci at the Golden Globes
    WireImage
Wilde shone (literally!) on the red carpet in this shimmering emerald dress. It seems as though her baby bump only made her more stylish, as this long, form-fitting gown was one of her best ensembles ever.
  • 2
Margot Robbie in Gucci at the Golden Globes
    Getty Images
If you didn't know Margot Robbie's name, you did after you saw her in this stunning gown. The "Wolf of Wall Street" star looked drop-dead gorgeous in this tight-fitting white dress with a high-slit. Not only did it fit her like a glove, but she managed to show the perfect amount of skin.
  • 3
Kiernan Shipka in Tory Burch at the Tory Burch Flagship Opening
    Getty Images
The 15-year-old actress looked adorable in this embroidered top with matching pants. And we love how the "Mad Men" star completed the outfit with a pair of nude wedges and casual hair. If only all celebs were as well-dressed as this teen.
  • 4
Emma Watson in Valentino at the Valentino show
    WireImage
Everything about this outfit is perfect. The lace crop top is balanced out by the high-waisted, maxi skirt and her single pearl earring makes the entire thing a little edgy.
  • 5
Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Couture at the Academy Awards
    WireImage
A long black gown is a classic, but it can make you blend into the crowd -- but not this dress. The interesting neckline, dramatic skirt and beautiful sheer panels ensure that Charlize is the belle of the ball.
  • 6
Lupita Nyong'o in Prada at the Academy Awards
    WireImage
This was Lupita's princess moment. The Oscar-winning actress looked like she was floating along in this elegant, feminine gown. And can we talk about the headband for a minute? That could have been a style disaster, but instead it took the look from beautiful to stunning.
  • 7
Miroslava Duma at the Louis Vuitton show
    Getty Images
The Russian fashion plate always turns heads, but this particular outfit is especially great. The color and asymmetrical hem on the trench makes it something special, while her gold belt helps to define her waist and gives her a nice shape.
  • 8
Blake Lively in Gucci at the Met Gala
    Getty Images
Jaws literally dropped when Blake Lively stepped onto the red carpet in this gown. As Ryan Reynolds joked to André Leon Talley during the red carpet arrivals, it looked like the dress had been "painted onto" his wife. Between the cape and the plunging neckline, we find it hard to believe that the actress will ever top this ensemble.
  • 9
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Emilio Pucci at the amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Gala
    WireImage
There are a few things that are amazing about this dress. First of all, the color. Yellow is exceptionally difficult to pull off because if you pick the wrong shade, it can look awful against your skin tone. But this canary yellow gown is magnificent on the model, as is the expert draping and the subtle cut-outs.
  • 10
Solange Knowles in Calvin Klein at the CFDA Awards
    Getty Images
Is that Diana Ross? No, it's just Solange looking gorgeous, per usual. She doesn't tend to wear slinky gowns, but this looks so good, we think it should be in her regular rotation.
  • 11
Camila Alves in Zuhair Murad at the Emmys
    WireImage
Alves knows how to strike the perfect balance between sexy and sophisticated. This gown hugs her every curve but also makes a strong statement. Does she ever get it wrong?
  • 12
Amal Alamuddin in Stella McCartney during their civil wedding
    AFP/Getty Images
This. Is. Perfection. Every single thing about this outfit, from the wide-leg trousers, to the wide-brimmed hat, is making Mrs. George Clooney the style icon to watch. Not only does she look statuesque, but the entire ensemble is so fresh and clean. A+, Amal.
  • 13
Jenna Lyons in a Prada fur jacket, J. Crew Collection skirt and Celine shirt at Solange Knowles' wedding
    WireImage
Only Jenna Lyons could combine fur, feathers and a classic white-button up shirt and make it look this damn good. Though this is definitely an elevated look for the J.Crew Creative Director, she kept her signature red lipstick and thick-rimmed specs so it still felt true to her style. Take notes people, this is how you stop traffic.
  • 14
Olga Kurylenko in Alessandra Rich at the 'The Water Diviner' premiere
    Getty Images
This dress is kitschy in all the best ways. The faux-pocket details and the white belt are fun additions to this otherwise sleek, pale pink lace dress. Had these elements been on a less sophisticated gown, they would have looked tacky rather than fashion-forward.

REVIEW OF ENUGU 2014 ROAD BLOCK

This particular Road block tagged "Road block 5" was fun, entertaining and mind blowing but.....

Official cover Image of the Show

Despite the fun it promised and that which it actually offered, i personally believed that "free things dey run bele". The show was thrown open at about some minutes past 7 pm with some performances by up and coming artistes in enugu and other states. This was followed by the arrival of Lagos based artistes. Artistes that were present at the event was Flavour, Phyno, Zoro, Yemi Alade, Selebobo, Terry-G, Timaya, Mr Raw, Duncan Mighty and the list goes on and on. The host, Gov. Sullivan Chime arrived the location at about 10:17 with massive convoy. He was dressed to my amazement in a simple white short sleeves  shirt with black dots. Also in attendance was other state officials like the head of service, Enugu state, Mr Chidi Ezema and so many others. the VIP spot contained about 100-150 people. The security operation was impressive, there were men of special task force of the Nigerian police, the Nigerian police force, SARS, and the Nigerian army. about 10 large police dogs were there.

The was blessed with massive turn out which i perceived  as a curse! The population could be estimated to be over 4000 youths, and about 200 adults, state officials inclusive. The Population was damn too high that the venue hardly contained the crowd. This caused severe injuries following a stampede, it also cause suffocation especially to the female folks who from eyewitnesses had a few reported to have fainted.

If you missed the show, dont let my report give you a bad impression of it. now let me give you a highlight of what happened on stage. Firstly the stage was well lighted, there were about 5 cameras tracking the show, There were also about 30 loud speakers to produce quality sound. That night, the stage rocked, comedians boomed the show, Phyno had the highest crowd control as the crowd went bezerk when he mounted the stage. he came out stylishly with a brown hoody, black trousers and a pair of white supra. The second artist that stole the show after Phyno was Davido. he had more hit songs, including of course the skelewu dance which he didnt show us how to dance it well. Zoro too rocked the stage. Amongst the big artistes, the one that least impressed was Duncan Mighty and Flavour. Duncan mighty entered this list because he hardly had any new thing to offer. He complimented this by doing a competition which he called "the ikebe of enugu". That is the girl with the largest behind in Enugu. A girl won $2000 in the competition. Flavour performed last, hundreds of people and  scores of state vehicles started squeezing through the entrance gate when his performance started. He came upstage at about past 5 am.

You missed out if you were not present. This is my personal account.

5 Reasons why you shouldn't wear G-String

It’s sexy and appealing. But have you ever thought of reasons not to wear a thong? We will dish out some important reasons for not wearing this kind of underwear, but lets first of all describe and define it.

A G-string A.K.A. gee-string or gee string is a type of thong, a narrow piece of cloth, leather, or plastic, that covers or holds the genitals, passes between the buttocks, and is attached to a band around the hips. A G-string is most commonly worn by women as underwear, but may also be worn by men. It may also be worn in swimwear, where it may serve as a bikini bottom, but may be worn alone as a monokini or topless swimsuit. G-strings may also be worn by exotic or go-go dancers. As underwear, a G-string may be worn in preference to panties to avoid creation of a visible panty line.

THE REASONS FOR NOT WEARING IT ARE:
1. Genital inflammation
Gynecologists ask women to wear more comfortable panties to avoid critical health issues. Sometimes, a girl doesn’t even suspect what has caused the problem in her private area. These panties injure the sensitive skin around your genitals.
2. Intestinal infection
Serious problems await those who wear a g-string regularly. This type of underwear irritates and inflames the area which produces lubricant during intercourse. A thong can also lead to small tearing or deep cuts which can cause certain infections.
3. Yeast infection G-string can increase the chances of getting a yeast infection from extra moisture resulting from the tight fit.
4. Skin problems
Chafed, irritated and infected skin –  are you really ready to give up your comfort in favour of your underwear?
5. Other side effects
Wearing a thong might end up in thrush and cystitis. Thrush is a fungus infection: the skin gets red and swollen, with white patches. Cystitis is a form of bladder inflammation.
Also, never wear a thong if you plan to work out: your body gets hot and sweaty during physical activity. This, combined with wearing a thong,  becomes an ideal breeding groud for a lot of bacteria. Opt for cotton panties when working out.

See All the Artistes at the 2014 British Fashion Awards: Rihanna, Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner & More!

Britain's biggest night in fashion is finally here! And as expected, some of the most important names in style took to the red carpet in seriously chic attire.

Really, all eyes are on the 2014 British Fashion Awards red carpet: Held at the London Coliseum, the ceremony honors the most forward-thinking designers, models and plain ol' good dressers who have made an impact across the pond.

First we have to give it to Rihanna, who consistently bests herself in barely there style. The songstress sported an oversize tuxedo jacket, towering ankle-strap sandals, a diamond choker and (very) little else.

We also can't take our eyes of models Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner: Both of these statuesque ladies stood out on the red carpet in statement ensembles. Cara D—tonight's winner of the Best Model trophy—wore a shimmering, slit-to-there Burberry gown with sexy black side panels, while Kendall let her svelte figure do the talking in a black-and-white jumpsuit.

A look back at the 2014 British Fashion Awards nominees

Also in winter white, Emma Watson was one of the night's main winners both on and off the red carpet. The star took home the British Style Award, and we can see why: Watson stunned in a floor-sweeping Misha Nonoo jumpsuit, which she paired with an oversize navy Dior blazer and bold red lips.

Victoria Beckham took to the red carpet with hubby David Beckham—who seemed unfazed by his recent fender-bender in England last week. (Read: By unfazed, we mean more handsome than ever.) The designer, who walked away with the Brand of the Year Award, wore a chunky knit sweater over a monochrome maxiskirt from her own label to the event.

Meanwhile, Vogue editrix Anna Wintour took to the red carpet in a black-and-white number (check the white fur capelet) with her daughter Bee Shaffer. She was presented the Outstanding Achievement Award for her influence on the world of high fashion by John Galliano—the designer behind her dress for the evening.

Other stars in attendance included Karlie Kloss, Anna Kendrick, One Direction's Harry Styles, Rita Ora, Alexa Chung, Lily Allen, Naomie Harris and Suki Waterhouse.

Who do you think was the best dressed Brit this year?

Kim isn't the only Nude Kardashian, see pregnant Kourtney

Just a couple of weeks after Kim took it all off, big sister Kourtney is proving Mrs. West isn’t the only Kardashian who’ll dare to go bare.

Mom-to-be Kourtney stripped down for DuJour magazine, and she looks pretty much flawless as she proudly shows off her pregnant belly in new photos.

The reality TV mom, who’s expecting her third child with longtime boyfriend Scott Disick, poses with nothing on but a soaking wet white dress.
kk

Bur this isn’t the first time Kourt has posed nude while pregnant — just the first time she’s letting the whole world see the photos. She revealed to the mag that she took pics for herself while she was pregnant with her first child, Mason, and that she feels her most confident when she’s expecting.

“To me, nudity is not something to be ashamed of. I’m not embarrassed of my body. I’m at my best when I’m pregnant,” she said. “It’s such an amazing feeling, the transformation that your body goes through. There’s something about that that’s so empowering and beautiful and I just really embrace it.”
kkk

And Kourtney doesn’t really care what people think about these photos because she took them only to please herself.
kkkkk

“This was something that initially I did for myself just to capture the moment in my life, but these photos are beautiful and I’m happy to share them,” she said. “And I like how raw they are. It’s my body: I’m not trying to impress anybody or be something that I’m not. But in general, I don’t really care that much about what people think.
