The New York Post reports that Jelani Maraj, 37, has been held on first-degree rape for assaulting a pre-teen, according to Newsday.

Maraj was freed from the Nassau County jail in East Meadow on $100,000 bail today, the paper said.

Maraj was married to Jacqueline Robinson at the Coral House on Milburn Lake in Baldwin, New York, this past August.

His pop-star sister paid about $30,000 for the wedding hall, which hosted 200 guests.

“I love my brother so much man. Can’t believe I cried during his wedding and his first dance like a punk. May God bless him and his union. Tonight has been one of my favourite nights of all time. I do anything to see my brothers smile.”

Officers in Norman, just southeast of Oklahoma City, responded to a report that the animal was on the loose on Tuesday morning.

Officer Kyle Canaan managed to round up the donkey but felt he had no choice other than to put it into his vehicle in order to keep it safe.

Norman Police Department's Facebook account later posted the picture taken at the time and released a statement explaining what had happened.

The statement said: "Our officers encounter unexpected things every day while on-duty.

"This morning, Officer Kyle Canaan responded to a call regarding a donkey on the loose in the 8100 block Police in Norman, Oklahoma, give a donkey a liftof 120th Avenue NE.

"To ensure the safety of the animal, he helped transport the donkey to a nearby home for safe keeping until its owner could be located.

"It's not everyday that you see a donkey in the backseat of a police car!"

Sarah Jensen, Norman Police Department's public safety information officer, told the Oklahoma Daily newspaper that Officer Canaan thought it would be safer to put the donkey into the back of the vehicle rather than let it wander.

She said: "He believed he could fit the donkey into the back of his squad car, so he did."

The officer later told the newspaper he managed to lure it in with some food.

But, once inside his vehicle, things didn't go so well, with the donkey defecating during the short journey.

Officer Canaan told the newspaper: "It was a huge mess in the back, huge mess."

He dropped the donkey off at a pen where it will be kept until it is claimed or animal control comes to collect it.

In the meantime, Norman Police Department said it is seeking the donkey's owner.

'Hello' Adele's violated Copyrights?

26th Annual Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony - Show
Fans of American singer Tom Waits have accused the British singer Adele of copying one of his songs for her comeback single Hello.

Hello was released after a three-year hiatus for the British artist and became the first song to be downloaded more than one million times in a week.

But fans of Tom Waits think it is too similar to his 1973 cult single Martha, which is about calling a former partner.

One fan tweeted: "Hello was done 1,000 times better by him in the '70s". Another said: "Adele I love you BUT Tom Waits nailed that song on his 73 debut."

Both songs feature lyrics about getting in touch with an old acquaintance.

In his song, Waits sings "Hello, hello there, is this Martha?", whereas Adele's song begins "Hello, it's me".

Adele's producer Greg Kurstin recently said that 65-year-old Waits had been an inspiration to her when writing the single.

Hello sold 1.1 digital downloads in the first week after release, beating Justin Bieber Sorry, which was downloaded 276,800 times.

It is the first single from the upcoming album 25, to be released later this month.

Her last album, 21, sold more than 30 million copies and won six Grammy awards.
