Introducing the MidSeason Return of EMPIRE!

After a four-month hiatus, Empire returns with the greatest shake-up of the Lyon family’s record company to date: the ousting of cofounder and CEO Lucious (Terrence Howard). Back in December, youngest son Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) had allied with his ex Camilla (Naomi Campbell) and her new bride, board member Mimi (Marisa Tomei), to unseat Lucoius from his throne. Fox’s hip-hop soap began as a modern-day King Lear, with Lucious encouraging war between his three sons to suss out who should succeed him. Now, as a new acquaintance (Annie Ilonzeh) informs him, Lucious’s circumstances resemble another Shakespeare play:Richard II, about a deposed king fighting to take back his kingdom from an unworthy usurper.

But does any of this matter? There have been so many twists, turns, about-faces, and indignant cape-swishes in the 15 months since Empire’s debut that only the cape-swishes really register anymore. Lucious and his ex-wife Cookie’s (Taraji P. Henson) struggle to create a lasting legacy is constantly undone by the irony that the entire family is afflicted with severe cases of myopia. Their decisions — like Hakeem’s to pay back Lucious for his 20-some years of bad parenting — are shortsighted, bullheaded, and rash-bordering-on-stupid. Cookie alone seems to understand that any punch the Lyons throw at one another knocks down the whole family — not that she can stop any of them from making that same mistake over and over.

FOX

Empire could coast by in this season’s remaining eight episodes — and probably for a couple more years — on its Timbaland-produced tunes and its outlandish, GIF-ready charms. After Hakeem inevitably succeeds his dad as head of Empire — just as Lucious had initially wanted in Season 1, but not while Papa Lyon was still drawing breath — the show’s costume designer, Paolo Nieddu, does some of his best work yet with the new CEO’s first-day-of-work outfit: a suit patterned with international currency.

Even more assuringly (at least based on the first three episodes of this season’s back half), creators Lee Daniels and Danny Strong and showrunner Ilene Chaiken seem to be restoring some feeling to the show after making us numb with nonstop whirligigging. Tonight’s episode feels like more of the same, with Lucious’s angry threats against his family; the aftereffects of the pregnant Rhonda’s (Kaitlin Doubleday) push down the stairs; and sexy shenanigans between Hakeem, his former flame/current kingmaker Camilla, and new girlfriend Laura (Jamila Velazquez). The April 6 installment is packed with performances, with Jamal (Jussie Smollett) — now dating Skye (Alicia Keys) — having to defend his fluid sexuality from LGBT activists angry he won’t stick to the more politically convenient born-that-way narrative. “Get your gay back,” Cookie orders her middle son, for the sake of his popularity.

But it’s the April 13 hour that feels like a minor breakthrough for the show. Lucious mines his abusive childhood for the music video for “Boom Boom Boom Boom” (yes, that’s the actual name of that song). Sad backstories are often an easy ploy to get audiences to feel sympathy for a character — and Lucious, the closest thing to a monster on Empire, certainly needs it. But his inability to properly parent — the show’s biggest tragedy — is given an understandable context: Lucius has never enjoyed an example of it. Even with a new love triangle for Hakeem, a surprise for Cookie on her first birthday out of prison, and an out-of-nowhere proposal, it’s bipolar Andre who brings the emotional urgency, as he’s left reeling by the cruelty of Lucious’s concealment of his family’s history of mental illness. Andre could have found solace in — or at least felt prepared by — the fatality of genetics, but Lucious withheld what he’d passed on to his oldest son for fear of making him “weak.” InEmpire, family is destiny — a whole lotta fortune, and hopefully not too much doom.

Check out the Woman with the Longest leg in America

True beauty isn’t projected by the beholder. It only ultimately shines through inner acceptance and self love.
When we typically think of models (especially insanely gorgeous, perfectly-proportioned, leggy catwalk models), we normally don’t think that they have ever questioned their image or beauty. We don’t automatically think that other people have pointed at them behind their backs, or gossiped about them. However, that is certainly not the case.
There have been instances where people have shamed models on social media because their bodies didn’t fit a certain “mold.”But these incredible models have fought back, and, throughheartwarming responses, have taught us the meaning of genuine confidence.
One model is extremely comfortable in her own skin. Texan Lauren Williams has ignored the gawking stares all her life, and has understood that what made her different actually gave her a leg up on everyone else. Through utilizing her uniqueness, she has made a life for herself, and has created an opportunity for others who have rare or peculiar features.
Scroll further to see photos of this stunning young woman, and find out what makes her special. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

Everyone in Lauren Williams’ family is over 6 feet tall. The 26-year-old herself stands at 6’4, and currently holds the record for the longest legs in America.

“I’ve always had longer legs than everybody else, and not just longer legs — I’ve always been taller than everybody,” she said to Caters TV. The sports-lover has legs that measure 49 inches from hip to heel.

She models predominantly for sportswear and fitness brands, and struts high fashion catwalks. She finds that being tall does have its advantages, especially as many fashion houses these days often seek the “long and lean” look on models.

In addition to modeling, Williams also works at a children’s museum in Houston, and enjoys traveling outside of work.

“It’s interesting to me that this is a title I now hold,” she told The Daily Mail of her newfound fame. “I never realized that it would turn out to be such a big deal, but I’m really excited.”

Madonna hoard parking spaces by putting fake 'No Parking' signs: Busted

EXCLUSIVE
032316-sub-Madonna-nyc-home-05Madonna's people concocted a scheme to snag precious parking spots in front of her super expensive NYC apartment, and the authorities came down on them like a brick.
Madonna -- who lives in a $40 million Upper East Side townhouse -- apparently wanted to claim some prime parking spaces ... problem is, they were public spaces, not hers. So we're told her people peppered the area with "Tenant Parking Only" signs. She also had someone emboss a "NO PARKING" warning curbside in cement. For bad measure, they painted the curb yellow.
032316-sub-Madonna-nyc-signageOne neighbor who smelled a rat contacted the city's Dept. of Transportation. Someone from the agency paid a visit Wednesday and told Madonna's people the signage had to be removed ... stat.
BTW, the neighbor tells TMZ, when she questioned a man standing outside Madonna's pad next to 3 SUVs about putting these signs up, the man responded, "We know the right people."
Well apparently, so does the neighbor.
We reached out to Madonna's people ... so far no word back.

VIDEO: Dancer gets burnt during a dancing competition

The dancer who went viral this week for lighting her crotch on fire says her lady parts are A-OK!
Fire Gyal Flexi -- a competitor in a Dancehall contest -- tells us the incendiary moment was accidental. Her plan was to put rubbing alcohol on her crotch, which she would lite and then immediately smother the flames.
Problem was ... she applied way too much alcohol, and she became a human torch.
Flexi is a little lighter Wednesday -- literally and figuratively -- she suffered 1st degree burns and lost layers of skin, but pressed on and won the dance competition, scoring a trophy and $500 prize. MY VAGINA SURVIVED! But My Thighs Got Scorched
She'll now go on to the international contest in Jamaica. Hopefully, TSA will confiscate the rubbing alcohol.

Lil Wayne and Birdman Reunite on Mannie Fresh's 'Hate'

Despite over a year of public feuding, Lil Wayne and Birdman reunited last month, on Mannie Fresh’s single “Hate.” It was a moment that, before it dropped, seemed unlikely: Even though the two spent New Years together, Wayne is still suing Cash Money, and his upcoming Tha Carter V is still shelved.

To make it happened, everything just fell into place. Mannie was working on the track with Juvenile, who’s also featured, when they decided to try to get Wayne on there, too.

“I called Lil Wayne and he was two blocks down the street at Hit Factory,” the producer told Genius. “He was like, ’Bring the song over!'”

Next, he got Birdman involved, with the label founder providing his patented sh-t-talk.

“By sheer coincidence, I wind up bumping into Baby and I was like, ’Dude, I would love if you intro-ed this song,'” he explained. “He was like, ’Send it to me, it’s done.'”

So, no, it doesn’t sound like Father and Son were in the studio together for this one — but it’s at least a step in the right direction, given the tension of the last year.

LIKE MY PAGE: Mr Sammy

“I can see how paperwork and foolishness can destroy something,” Mannie added. “Everything is not resolved with [Birdman] and Wayne, but I overcame it by saying to them, ’We can resolve all that behind the curtain, but for now, let’s make music for the people.’ When it all started coming together, the brotherly love came out. We did the song, then, ’I wish you the best, we should do it more often.'”

5 places to move to if Donald Trump becomes president

00:00
00:43

Every election cycle, we hear about U.S. citizens who say that they will leave the country if a particular candidate becomes president. Their reasons and status may vary widely from election to election.

"In 2004 people moved to Boquete (Panama) because they disliked George Bush and hadmoney, while in 2008 people moved to Boquete because they disliked Barack Obama and had no money," said Phil McGuigan, who moved from the U.S. to Boquete, a popular expat community, albeit for non-political reasons.

It's difficult to know which candidate would cause the largest overseas migration, although we can get some idea via a Google search of "Move abroad if [fill in the blank] is elected." Here are the hits Google generated for each candidate:
Donald Trump: 316,000
Hilary Clinton: 292,000
Bernie Sanders: 241,000
Ted Cruz: 233,000

While the volatile Trump and controversial Clinton stir the strongest response, Bernie Sanders and Ted Cruz are not that far behind.

While there is no credible data on how many Americans move overseas primarily for political reasons, the evidence suggests that an increasing number are moving abroad. Their motives probably differ.

According to the United Nations Secretariat, as of 1999, about 4.3 million U.S. citizens lived outside the U.S., while according to a more recent brochure published by the U.S. State Department, in May 2015, that number was 8.7 million.

Which location would be best for you if you didn't like an electoral outcome? Here's are five countries that offer a great quality of life at reasonable prices.

WASHINGTON — Sen. Elizabeth Warren labeled Donald Trump a loser, a bully and a threat on Monday, continuing a fierce war of words between the liberal icon and the front-running Republican presidential candidate that has played out on social media and The New York Times.
"@RealDonaldTrump knows he's a loser. His insecurities are on parade: petty bullying, attacks on women, cheap racism, flagrant narcissism," the Massachusetts Democrat wrote on her campaign's Twitter account on Monday, part of a rapid-fire burst of eight tweets attacking the billionaire television personality.
"But just because @realDonaldTrump is a loser everywhere else doesn't mean he'll lose this election," Warren warned her allies.
A week ago, Warren took to Facebook to try stirring up Trump opponents to speak out.
"Donald Trump is a bigger, uglier threat every day that goes by — and it's time for decent people everywhere — Republican, Democrat, Independent - to say No More Donald," she wrote.
Trump poked back in an interview with New York Times writer Maureen Dowd in a column that appeared in Sunday's newspaper.
Trump said of Warren's criticism, "I think it's wonderful because the Indians can now partake in the future of the country. She's got about as much Indian blood as I have."
"Her whole life was based on a fraud," he added. "She got into Harvard and all that because she said she was a minority."
During her 2012 election campaign, Warren was criticized after being listed in law school directories as having Native American ancestry.
Trump's campaign did not immediately provide a response to Warren's latest remarks.
The exchange comes with Trump leading the race for convention delegates over two surviving competitors and some GOP leaders trying to head off his nomination, saying he would be defeated and cause losses for GOP congressional candidates.
In her tweets, Warren accused Trump of running failed businesses, cheating people and using bankruptcies to avoid debts.
She said he was "ready to tear apart an America that was built on values like decency, community, and concern for our neighbors." And she wrote, "Many of history's worst authoritarians started out as losers — and @realDonaldTrump is a serious threat."
"The way I see it, it's our job to make sure @realDonaldTrump ends this campaign every bit the loser that he started it," Warren tweeted Monday on her campaign account, which has 261,000 followers.
Trump, a prodigious tweeter, has 7 million followers on his account.

Warren has yet to issue an endorsement in the Democratic presidential contest between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vt.

Rihanna Stunned at the Voice of a Fan during Cincinnati performance

Rihanna is, undoubtedly, the queen of memorable reactions. For every single feeling you need to express, there is a Rihanna GIF perfect for the occasion. With that in mind, it comes as no surprise that her reaction to a fan’s singing abilities is one for the books.
Seriously, we have to find a way to put it into all books — even printed ones.
Rihanna doesn't seem the type to be easily shocked. In fact, she's often the one doing the shocking. This past Saturday at Cincinnati during her "Anti" tour, however, one fan blew her away when Rihanna turned the mic to the audience during "Four Five Seconds." Her face is priceless.
Instead of off-key screaming, as is usually the case with audience participation, she was met with a surprisingly great voice. Rihanna’s response? An #ICONIC face and an “oh shit.
Can you imagine eliciting that from Rihanna?
At the end of the song, she shook her fan's hand and thanked him. There is an appropriate freakout — his friend even drops to the ground.
The fan, TJ, says on his Instagram bio that his "dream came true" that night.

Smaller iPhone? Apple about to Unveil its Next Big Thing.

Image result for apple mobile pictures
The technology giant is holding a special event in its Cupertino headquarters where the headline item is tipped to be the iPhone SE, an iPhone that has the smarts of the iPhone 6 on the inside but the form factor similar to the smaller iPhone 5 with a 4-inch screen.

The company unveiled the iPhone SE Monday, a poorly kept secret executives described as "the most powerful 4-inch phone ever." The phone starts at $399, or $17 a month without a service contract. Orders start March 24 and the phone will become available March 31.

Apple CEO Tim Cook is also expected to announce a 9.-7-inch iPad Pro, bringing Apple’s main tablet category up to speed with the 12-inch iPad Pro released last year.

The iPhone SE features the same processing power of the flagship 6S, which is double that of the iPhone 5S. It also packs the same graphics capability of the 6S, and includes a 12 megapixel iSight camera.

Apple took a similar retro approach for its newest iPad Pro, shrinking the business-focused tablet to a 9.7-inch diagonal size that echoes that of the standard iPad. The differences include a display that is superior to that of the standard iPad, which increased contrast ratio and 40% less reflective than an iPad Air 2. It is also 25% brighter. The device will go head to head with Microsoft's Surface Pro.

The new iPad is expected to have a smart connector so keyboards can attach magnetically and work with the Apple Pencil.

There is also likely to be new bands for the Apple Watch and new software updates announced for the iPhone and iPad.

The big question remains. At the end of today’s event, will Cook excite Apple fans with those few simple words: one more thing?

HOW TO WATCH

Start time: 10am in Cupertino (Pacific Time);4am Tuesday AEST; 1am Tuesday AWST

Live streaming: Apple’s live stream is available here.

Prices for the new iPad Pro are $599 (32 GB) and $749 for 128 GB device. There's is also a $899 version with a massive 256 GB capacity.

WOW! Florida woman fights to keep a pet alligator who wears her clothes, rides her motorbikes and has a bedroom

See you later, alligator ... Mary Thorn cuddles her pet reptile Rambo. Picture: Facebook/Mary Thorn

Meet Rambo, the pet alligator who wears clothes, rides motorbikes and has a bedroom in Mary Thorn’s Florida home.

Ms Thorn has had a licence for Rambo for 11 years, but wildlife officials say she might have to give him up.

The 56.7kg reptile recently grew to two metres and, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife, must have 2.5 acres of open space.

But Ms Thorn said that, even if she had the land, Rambo can’t be left outdoors. Before she began caring for him, he lived in a dark tank with other gators which made him sensitive to sunlight.

“Without him, I don’t feel like even wanting to go on,” she told Orlando Sentinel. “Everybody is taking it pretty hard because they know how much I love the gator.”

Ms Thorn has raised Rambo like he is her own son. She’s taught him not to bite or swat his tail, and has even toilet trained him (he wiggles when he needs to go outside).

When the 15-year-old gator is not hanging out with Ms Thorn’s dogs or watching TV, his owner takes him to schools and charity events to teach people about reptiles.

“He loves kids and when kids come around he shuts his mouth really tight so fingers can’t go in his mouth,” Ms Thorn said, adding she has permission to take him out in public without taping his snout shut.

If the gator has to go, Ms Thorn said she will send him to Croc Encounters, a wildlife sanctuary in Tampa.

“He’s like my son. He’s my family,” Ms Thorn told New York Daily News. “He’s not a normal gator. He has never been a normal gator.”

Florida wildlife commission spokesman Gary Morse said Ms Thorn’s case is under investigation.

Did You Know That Your Phone Usage Can Say More About You Than You Think? See what im saying...

How often do you check your phone? Your answer could say more about you than you think.

In this day and age, many of us treat our smartphones like an extension of our bodies.

Some even think that they can't live without it. It’s your go-to for everything: phone calls, texts, listening to music, taking photos, browsing the internet, pretending to scroll mindlessly in awkward public situations.

Many studies have drawn attention toward the maladaptive usage of cellphones, but a new study has drawn a connection between how compulsively we check our phones on a day-to-day basis, and our personalities.

Researchers from Temple University found that those who are obsessed with checking their smartphones frequently are more likely to be impulsive, impatient and lacking in self-control.

The study had 91 university students complete a series of surveys and cognitive tests, detailing how often they checked their phones and the types of activities they used it for.

The students were told to pick between a smaller sum of money offered immediately, or a larger sum of money offered at a later time — an assessment comparing the relationship between gratification and being rewarded.

The two researchers behind it, Henry Wilmer and Jason Chein, concluded that those who constantly check their phones are the types of people who need instant gratification.

“Mobile technology habits, such as frequent checking, seem to be driven most strongly by uncontrolled impulses and not by the desire to pursue rewards,” said Wilmer in a statement.

He also said that the study could further demonstrate that our youngest generation has poor impulse control as a result of advancing personal technologies.

Chein said: “The findings provide important insights regarding the individual difference factors that relate to technology engagement.

“These findings are consistent with the common perception that frequent smartphone use goes hand in hand with impatience and impulsivity.”

Now think about that time you guiltily devoured a whole box of chocolates on a whim, or couldn’t resist just two (which turned into four!) more glasses of wine. Do you struggle to keep a firm grip on your impulses?

To overcome this, start by ditching the smartphone for a bit, or at least checking it less frequently. Those texts can wait!

Daniel the Magician dies, guess what killed him?

Television magician Paul Daniels died aged 77 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

The television star was released from hospital last week after being told that the tumour was incurable.

On 7 March, Daniels' wife Debbie McGee said the family had been inundated with "wonderful messages " of support from fans and friends.

The tumour was found when the entertainer fell and was rushed to hospital suspected of suffering a stroke.

Daniels was at his Berkshire home with McGee when he died in the early hours of Thursday.

A statement from his publicist said: "One of our most beloved entertainers, Paul Daniels, has passed away at the age of 77.

"The TV star, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour earlier this year, passed away peacefully at home with Debbie at his side in the early hours of this morning.

"Debbie and the family would like to thank everyone for their support and asks that their privacy be respected at this sad time."

Daniels' son Gary tweeted to confirm his father's death alongside a picture of a crying white rabbit in a magician's black top hat.

One of the most popular magicians of the 20th century, his success was unrivalled in the magic and entertainment world.

His wit, charm, and magic skills earned him a reputation which meant that he performed for Princes William and Harry, Prime Ministers John Major and James Callaghan, Prince Rainier of Monaco and others.
Paul Daniels Obituary Pic

Born in South Bank, Middlesbrough as Newton Edward Daniels, the TV personality's interest in magic began aged 11 when he read a book called How To Entertain At Parties.

After serving as a conscript with the 1st Battalion, the Green Howards, in Hong Kong he started working in clubs where he developed his famous catchphrase: "You'll like this ... not a lot, but you'll like it."

He made his television debut on Opportunity Knocks in 1970 where he came second.

ITV gave him his own show in 1978 and he moved to the BBC the following year with The Paul Daniels Magic Show which attracted 15 million viewers in the UK and ran until 1994.

Daniels also starred in his own stage show called It's Magic which became one of London's longest-running magic shows in the 1980s.

It was at this time that he met his second wife McGee, whose role as his assistant became a major feature of his act and the couple married in 1988.

In 1987 Daniels hosted a controversial Halloween live special where he replicated a trick called the Iron Maiden. It was deliberately staged to look as though it had gone wrong and that he had been killed.

Dozens of people complained to the BBC when the credits rolled but he later made an appearance between programmes to show he had successfully escaped from the device.

Daniels was known for his outspoken views on everything from the Conservative Party to climate change. He was dismissive of modern illusionists, describing David Blaine as "not very original".

In 2012 Daniels cut off his left index finger and the tip of his ring finger while using a circular saw in his garden. He drove himself to hospital where the index finger was reattached.

In his later years, Daniels and his wife toured the country with magic and comedy shows, entertaining old fans and new generations alike with his skills.

He had three sons with his first wife Jacqueline Skipworth. His youngest son Martin regularly appeared on his TV shows and is now an entertainer himself.
